Landcruiser Stationwagon - model 2010

Only available from/to Perth, Darwin, Cairns and Sydney

Of all Australian rental 4WD vehicles this model is the best one to drive along the very remote Canning Stock Route. If you are planning to travel the CSR you will need to let us know well in advance as the vehicle(s) will have to be specifically fitted out. It is compulsory to travel with a minimum of 2 Landcruisers on the long drive of the Canning Stock Route.

These vehicles seats 5. For a small fee a tent/2 tents with additional camping equipment can be hired.
In the equipment items like sleeping bags, sleeping mats, pillows, table, chairs, 2 burner portable gas stove, LPG bottle, crockery, cutlery, pots, pans, dish washing bowl, storage box, etc.

Each rental is including a professional recovery kit, toolbox and 2 spare tyres. All Landcruisers are unmarked. The roof rack is fitted with a roof box in which camping equipment or your personal luggage can be carried.
An awning is available for free, on request only. This can be erected in a few minutes.

Please be aware that booking well in advance is a necessity for this model. Because of the standard limited availability in this category (only 6 vehicles in fleet) these 4WD's are often fully booked 6 to 8 months ahead.

FEATURES: Toyota Landcruiser Workmate, model 2010, 4500cc 8 cylinder diesel motor, 5 speed manual high & low gear, power steering, 2 spare tyres, airco, radio-CD player, 165 litres fuel tank, fuel consumption 14 litres
per 100 km*, dual batteries, 5 seats with seatbelts, snorkel, bulbar, electric winch, drawers, 4x4 fridge, large roof rack and three 12V connections. *This depends on road conditions, driving style and airco use.


The 12 Volt connections in the driver cabin draw the power from the second battery and can be used when camping in National Parks or on bush campings.

Including in a 4WD recovery kit: treetrunk protector, high lift jack, snatch strap, D-shackles, folding shovel,
gloves, tyre airpump, extensive toolkit, doubling block, axe, hammer, torch and EPIRB. (Emergency Beacon)

  • The minimum hire period is 14 days from and to the same city. If you would like to hire a Landcruiser Stationwagon from and to Darwin via Broome, the minimum hire period is 28 days. The same for a Sydney to Sydney rental via the Oodnadatta Track, Yulara and Alice Springs. One way rentals are always on request only.

  • The minimum driver age is 21 years old, the maximum driver age is 75 years.

  • One way rentals between Perth and Sydney are free of charge, Darwin and Cairns $400.

  • Locations: rentals are available from or to 4 cities: Darwin, Perth, Cairns and Sydney.

  • The standard excess is $1000, the excess doubles when driving on unsealed roads.

  • You can lower the excess to $200 for an extra of $14 per day (max. payable $750) or to nil for an extra of $25 per day. (full cover, maximum payable A$1000, for drivers over 25 years only) With the full cover insurance damage to the windscreen (1x) and tyres (2x) is covered as well.
